Subsequently, human beings, as the most privileged creatures, have a variety of needs which become more complicated than those of other creatures due to their endowment with reason and decision-making. These needs impose a group of rights and obligations on human beings, and in this way the status of human life will be revealed. <br />The primary and most evident right which every human being enjoys is the right to life, which gives rise to other rights. As much as the very essence of right to life and the necessity of respecting such right is important the quality of such right is of significance. This is explained by the fact that if such right is harmed, the outcome will be the same as the abrupt denial of this right with the only difference that denial will be gradual. <br />This article seeks to underline the significance of the quality of right to life in addition to providing several examples of urban challenges threatening the quality of citizens’ right to life with a view to drawing attention to the fact that in protecting the humans’ right to life, all harmful factors need to be identified and countered<strong>.</strong>      اساساً همة موجودات نیازهایی دارند و به تبع اولی انسان نیز به عنوان اشرف مخلوقات دارای نیازهای گوناگونی است که به واسطه‌ پیچیدگی ناشی از تزیّن به عقل و اختیار، نیازهایش نیز پیچیده‌تر از سایر آفریدگان می‌باشد. در چارچوب این نیازها، مجموعه‌ای از حقوق و تکالیف بر انسان مترتب می‌گردد و در این میان، وضعیت زندگی بشر هویدا خواهد شد. اولین و بدیهی‌ترین حقی که انسان از آن بهره می‌برد، حق زندگی است که زمینه‌ساز سایر حقوق او به حساب می‌آید، به همان میزانی که اصالت حق زندگی و لزوم عدم سلب آن مهم است، سلامت کیفیت آن نیز دارای اهمیت می‌باشد، چرا که اگر کیفیت این حق دچار اخلال شود، نتیجه‌ی آن با نتیجه‌ سلب یکباره‌ این حق یکسان خواهد بود با این تفاوت که سلب در این نوع تدریجی است.<br /> در این نوشتار سعی شده است که ضمن تأکید بر اهمیت کیفیت حق زندگی و بیان چند نمونه از معضلات شهری که کیفیت حق زندگی شهروندان را به مخاطره می‌کشند، به این نکته نیز توجه شود که باید در مسیر حفاظت از حق زندگی انسان‌ها، تمامی عوامل لطمه زننده به آن مورد شناسایی قرار گرفته و با آنها مقابله صورت پذیرد. https://www.asasimag.ir/article_118544_e137b82387de71c31626536ac08c33ba.pdf
